 Leesburg Programs - The Fields Apartments, 75 Plaza Street, Building M, Apt 104     

   

Adult Life Skills English Class -  ESL                                         Friday 5-6:30pm 

This class teaches English communication for everyday life. Lessons in job readiness (job applications, interviews, resumes), scheduling doctor appointments, talking about health problems, shopping, banking, Loudoun schools (grades, schedules, classes, teacher communication), visiting a library, and English conversation. This class aims to help students feel more comfortable and confident speaking English.

 

Children’s Spanish Biliteracy Class                                            Friday 5-7pm  

In this Spanish biliteracy program students ages 4-14  learn to read and write in Spanish to perform better academically, pursue higher education, and ultimately be better positioned for desirable jobs seeking bilingual employees. The program also emphasizes an appreciation of Latino heritage, and leadership skills.

Children’s Coding & Computer Skills                                         Saturday 11am-12pm 

Children learn basic coding and project-based computer skills such as website development that can be applied in school or in preparation for future IT careers.

 

Adult Computer Skills                                                                  by appointment  

Adults learn the basics of using computer (email, document storage, word processing). Parents of school-aged children in Loudoun learn how to use ParentVUE and other LCPS electronic communications to monitor their children’s academic progress and support their success.

Lessons in job readiness, scheduling doctor appointments, shopping, banking, Loudoun schools (grades, schedules, classes, teacher communication), visiting a library, and English conversation. This class aims to help students feel more comfortable and confident speaking English.

 Other Programs                                                                                                                     

One-to-one tutoring geared toward achieving specific goals such as creating a resume, preparing for US citizenship, passing the GED, and improving job-specific competencies.
